Born in Neyshabur
in 1955. Graduated from the College of Film and Television, studied sociology at Shahid
Beheshti (formerly National) University. Began his professional career by writing film
reviews. Started filmmaking activities by co-writing (in collaboration with Rasul Sadr
Ameli) the script for Paizan in 1985.

Extraordinary Journey (also writer Winner of the Silver award at Cairo Festival of
Films for Children, Egypt 1991), 1992: Pickpockets Don't Go to the Heaven (also
co-reviser of the script, co-producer), Ilia the Young Painter
(commercially praised by jury of children and winner of Diploma of Honor at the
international competition of the 8th Isfahan International Festival of Films for Children,
1992 winner of the Silver Book prize of Best Feature Film in the category of Educational
Films, students section, at 25th Roshd International Festival of Educational Films 1995),
