Air Lines

Almost all of the official International Air Lines have a flight to Tehran directly or indirectly. If you are a North America residentyou will have to change your flight in one of the European countries like Paris or London. From Europe you can continue your flight some times with the same air line like British Airways or KLM or with official Iranian air line Iran Air.

There are also domestic air lines like Iran Air Tour, Mahan and Kish Air which let you travel comfortably and fast. Almost all major cities have the regular daily flights .

The designs of the stations, developed by Iranian engineers, are based on Iran's culture and architecture.

Train

All cities are related together by railways. You can move easily with trains from North to South or East to West. There is an official Iranian railway and also some privates companies like Bonyad. They are reasonably fast, comfortable (in 1st class) and certainly cheap. After flights, it's the best way to travel around  Iran. Tourists are suggested to reserve their ticket in advance because it is not always easy to find one. To reserve your tickets you can call or go directly to the central station or travel agencies.

Bus

More than 20 bus companies offer hundreds of services all over the country to move between cities. The fares are very cheap and, generally, there are regular departures. Most of them are comfortable and some of the private companies like Sayr-o-safar in Tehran's Argentina square offer more luxury, for a little more. There are usually two classes of long-distance bus : 'Lux' which is the second class and 'Super' which is the first class. You can buy the tickets in the bus stations.

There are also local bus service and shared private taxis which are cheap and comfortable to use in the city. The buses and shared taxis can be found anywhere in the city but you must call the private taxi agencies which is a little more expensive but more comfortable.
